Just a few metres away from the Palazzo delle Paure, in the old Torre Viscontea in Piazza XX Settembre, is the Lecco Museum of the Mountains and Mountaineering, which is run by the CAI (Italian Mountaineering Club) Lecco Section. Here there is a collection of numerous articles which tell the story of the evolution of mountaineering equipment and important relics of the most significant achievements in mountaineering around the world. The museum has been opened thanks to the efforts of CAI volunteers during certain community events and at the request of schools and groups.
